Hook up Bugsy's brain
Bugsy thinks with Google Gemini, using your own free API key. The key stays in this browser on this device. It's never put in the website's code or sent anywhere except Google.
- Go to aistudio.google.com/apikey and sign in.
- Tap Create API key and copy it.
- Paste it below and tap Connect.
Moving from another device? Connect first, then use Import backup in the Brain tab to bring your buddy's memory over.
How it trains itself
Every few messages (or when you tap Train now), it reviews the chat and your thumbs up and down, then rewrites its own rules, saves what it learned about you, and files new knowledge. Each upgrade bumps the brain version.
What it knows about you
Facts it picked up from your chats. Delete anything that's wrong.
Rules it wrote for itself
Its playbook. It rewrites these as it learns what you like.
Upgrade log
Knowledge
Notes from things you taught it and topics it studied. It pulls the relevant ones into each chat. Tap the arrow on a note to re-check it against the web.
Personality
Backup and other devices
Bugsy's brain lives in this browser. Download a backup to keep it safe, or import it on your PC or another phone to bring the same buddy along.
AI settings
Start over
Study a topic
It searches Google for the topic, reads what it finds, and saves notes to its brain with links to the sources.
Teach it
Paste notes, an article, stats, anything. Or give it a link, a text file, or a screenshot. It pulls out the facts and adds them to its knowledge.
Training data
Saves your chats (minus replies you gave a thumbs down) in the JSONL format used to fine-tune AI models, in case you ever want to retrain a model's weights on a service that offers it.
